Our Team

Samantha Silver – Founder, CEO and Director

Sam founded Action-attainment in response to the lack of service provision and understanding of children who fall between the gaps of mainstream and specialist services.

Sam has worked with parents, teachers, schools, Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language and Occupational therapists for more than 20 years to increase the understanding of children with hidden difficulties. She is a parent to three adult children, each with a different SEN diagnosis. Through this personal and professional experience Sam can sign post families to services in South West London taking a longer perspective on parenting.

Tom Silver – Project Coordinator

I believe that small, understanding groups make all the difference to start of some children’s sporting journey.  I know this from personal experiences of starting out in sport as a child with coaches who were similar to those at On the Ball.

These coaches gave me confidence to try out new sports as I got older!

I hope that our young people, and their parents, joining On the Ball and Fun in the Sun find the friendships and supportive social groups that come through positive sporting experiences developing confidence and resillience.

Claire Cammack – Community Coordinator

I’m a mother of two and have a background working within gyms. I attended a parent workshop and some activities and was amazed by the uniqueness of Action-attainment and their approach to coaching and supporting neurodiverse children. Now I am developing the girl’s community and activities in the Act-attain team.

I am passionate about helping all children get active and believe with the right support and guidance anything is possible.

Our Directors

Penny Marr – Chair

As a mother and psychotherapist, I know the demands of family life. I discovered Act-attain in my local community and saw what an incredible job they were doing for children and families.

I decided to get involved because I saw how lives can change when we support and educate through sport and play.

I bring extensive experience of mental health, family life and child development. I gain insight and inspiration from my partnership with the dedicated, expert team at Act-attain.

Kirsty Bainsfair

I joined Action-attainment’s board in 2022. I saw first-hand the positive impact the organisation had on families with neurodiverse children, helping to navigate sport, education and home life. My personal aim for Act-attain is that young people and their families have the awareness and confidence to advocate for each young person’s individual needs. As an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager inclusivity is at the heart of what I try to achieve every day. I feel honoured to contribute to the success of Act-attain’s work.

Janette Littler – Company Secretary

I joined Action-Attainment in 2016 and provide support to the board directors on finance as the Company Secretary.

My son, Fraser, is neurodiverse and has been accessing football and other sports through Action-attainment for many years. He is now an adult and acts as a volunteer and Expert by Experience for Action-attainment at events.

It is so beneficial for young people to be involved in local activity groups and I have been delighted to contribute to Action-attainment by supporting the directors.
