Action-attainment runs weekly, half term and holiday sports programmes in peer groups for young people aged 5-25. A-a works with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, at Palewell Park, SW14 8RE. In 2021 we ran Summer hoilday activities at Wimbledon Park Watersports Centre and are continuing young adult sessions at Brentford Canal with Active360. All activities are now adapted to meet Covid 19 guidelines.
Use our CONTACT link to enquire about a place and how to join us. Summer holiday timetables are in planning for 2022, using similar dates for activities as shown in the 2021 sign up forms below. We work with parents to find peer groups for children and young people so that skills are built from a point of confidence and fun. We look at preferred dates and application forms before confirming peer group places. Our aim is to help particpants experience "What Works" for successful inclusion.

Young adults aged 16-25 meet regularly at Richmond Park Academy on Saturdays to have fun playing football, keep fit, and build their skills. Non-judgemental coaches join in as do Dads and siblings creating a supportive environment where sport skills and friendship can thrive. Covid adaptations have kept the group going over 2020-21.

We start from a point of confidence and build skills. Parents and siblings are welcome. We want children to feel comfortable, see how they can have fun and succeed with differentiated teaching
"Before I started I felt I was no good at sport, now I know I can take part and, what's more, I've met people and built my social skills. I have to thank the coaches for being supportive." Young adult participating in holiday and weekly sports.
Golf at Palewell Park is open to young people aged 12-25. We run small groups aiming to find peers at a similar age and stage to build confidence. Parents and siblings are welcome to join in. 1:1 introductions to golf, are sometimes available too.

'Fun in the Sun' Summer Sport from Action-attainment & Brentford FC CST
Kayaking, Paddleboards, Tennis and Golf - are on offer again in our 2021 programme. Our aim is to arrange sessions for young people and their families to have fun, build friendships and expand their involvement in community sport. Tennis and Golf will run at Palewell Park. Watersports ran from Wimbledon Park Watersports Centre and Brentford Canal this year. People can try out water sport in a family bubble or a small group of similiarly aged peers. Watersports participants must be aged 8+, siblings are welcome, and we also run groups for teenagers and young adults.
Fun in the Sun enables small groups to work with supportive coaches and enjoy positive sporting experiences. The teaching is adapted to help the participants' communication needs. Group sizes are capped to meet advice from sport's governing bodies on Covid. We can also arrange 1:1 sessions - depending on demand, so please contact us to talk about this option if it would help a young person start to play sport.
"Building physical strength and confidence, an opportunity for social interaction and friendships in a structured activity. This benefits the whole family over a long Summer holiday."
