BSc and professional qualifications gained at Glasgow University in 1980, followed by sixteen years
with NHS Speech and Language Therapy departments in Glasgow, Oxford, Bath and Kingston upon Thames as Head of Paediatrics for six years, as well as the whole district for a year. In 1996 independent practice set up offering a range of therapy approaches to a wide cross section of children and young people with communication difficulties and their families and schools.

Nicky and Tom deliver Seeing STaRS for A-a, linking sensory training and regulation strategies to the Zones of Regulation.
Nicky is experienced as part of a multi-disciplinary team working in school with children with Speech Language and Communication Needs. Nicky works with individual and groups of young people.
Tom Silver
Action-attainment Project Coordinator and Trainer
Tom studied the Alert Programme's sensory strategies and used its principles through school, into college, university and the work place. Tom has a degree in Outdoor Adventure Management with French. He uses his experiences to provide inspirational and practical information Tom works with BFCCST coaches delivering A-a's sport activities.
