Specialist Speech and Language Therapy Advisor
BSc and professional qualifications gained at Glasgow University in 1980, followed by sixteen years
with NHS Speech and Language Therapy departments in Glasgow, Oxford, Bath and Kingston upon Thames as Head of Paediatrics for six years, as well as the whole district for a year. In 1996 independent practice set up offering a range of therapy approaches to a wide cross section of children and young people with communication difficulties and their families and schools.

Experienced as part of a multi-disciplinary team working in school with children with Speech Language and Communication Needs. Works with individual and groups of young people. Provides SI training for pupils, parents and teachers.

Tom Silver is a workshop leader with Action-attainment and Toucan Diversity. Tom has studied the Alert Programme and used its strategies through school, into college, university and the work place. Tom has a degree in Outdoor Adventure Management with French and uses his experiences to provide inspirational and practical information for audiences. Tom has presented on behalf of Afaisic and in schools in Richmond, Wimbledon, Wandsworth and Hampshire.
